I normaly don't get too wrapped up in agreeing or disagreeing with an author on how to do things but this tech tip is the worst I've seena nd is dangerous.(Hence the only reason I'm posting about it.) This should have been taken down wwhen we started using auto blocks below the Rappel device. PUtting a prussik above the rappel causes so many problems you more like to get hurt trying to get out of it so you can rappel. Also in the scenario that the author describes it is much better to put the rappel devise on an extender and tie the prussik under it. It is a much safer way and allows alot of flexibility with carrying loads or taking down and injured partner.

Also the anchor illistration is wrong as well. Your showing the webbing tied directly through the bolt hanger without a Biner or quick link. That is a good way to slice the webbing that your rapping off of.

Love your magazine but this needs critical review.
